Find your Rhythm

Find your Rhythm

I personally believe that one of the hardest things to do is to find balance. As we age, our responsibilities increase. We have to do a laundry list of things to sustain ourselves and our loved ones. In all of the chaos, it is so difficult to set out time for ourselves. It would be nice to say that one day we just get it all together in perfect balance, but the truth is that we are constantly learning and re learning how to navigate our world.

Constantly juggling so many tasks without balance can leave us feeling drained and overwhelmed. When we finally drop one of those balls, it can also leave us feeling a sense of failure. If any of this resonates with you, trust me I feel you. The thing is that you must remember that we are here for more than just doing tasks and accomplishing goals. Our minds, our bodies, and our spirits have to be fed.

We can start to pour into ourselves by finding a rhythm. With all of the things that are on your plate, it may seem difficult, but you’re worth it. You deserve to take control by taking the time to discover what your rhythm is. You deserve rest and activities that feed your soul. You deserve to be around people that make you feel good. You deserve all of the things that life has to offer. There’s so much more to life than just checking off boxes.

With all of that being said, I challenge you to begin to find yourself. You don’t have to start out big, just take a few minutes out of each day to dedicate to yourself. Whether that’s watching your favorite show, calling someone you care about, or doing something that you’ve been waiting to experience, don’t put off your needs. You’ll feel much better once you start watering the other parts of you.
