What Goes Into Our Products
A word from us to you:
We always want to make sure that you are fully informed about the products that you are purchasing! While our products are not 100% natural, we pride ourselves about the fact that we make products that both look good and are also good for your skin. Because we make lip care that contains natural ingredients, that also means that our products lack preservatives. As a result, the way that our products are stored as well as how they are used will make a huge difference in your experience.
Breakdown of Gloss Ingredients:
Vegan Gloss Base: this base product is how we are able to have the texture and consistency of a gloss before adding oils, pigments, and flavorings. By it being vegan, it means that the base was not produced from any dead animals.
Vegetable Glycerin: this product is a humectant, meaning it helps your skin absorb more moisture. By using glycerin in our glosses, it adds extra shine, boosts hydration, and increases longevity.
Organic Coconut Oil: Coconut oil has amazing moisturizing properties to keep your lips soft and hydrated.
Organic Grapeseed Oil: Grapeseed oil is rich in fatty acids and antioxidants, which is great for keeping your lips soft and hydrated.
Organic Castor Oil: Castor oil is rich in vitamins and antioxidants. This oil is great for retaining moisture.
Flavoring Oils: Although the flavoring oils that we use are not natural, they are safe for use in cosmetics and have been deemed so by the FDA.
Pigments: Mica powders are used to develop our pigments for our gloss products. Mica itself is derived from minerals. However, other ingredients are added to create a variation of colors, making some of these color options synthetic. These products are specifically for cosmetic use and are safe for the skin. We also use cosmetic grade liquid lip pigments in our glosses as well. Liquid pigments are made from dyes/ colorants and oils.

Let's Talk Shelf Life:
Glosses: 1-2 years. Try to keep your glosses out of heat. We recommend storing them in a cool, dry place. Although we recommend this estimated shelf life, please get rid of your product if you notice a change in the consistency and/ or a rancid oil smell.
Body Butter: 1-2 years. Keep your butters in a cool, dry place. Our butters are subject to temperature changes. If they're too warm, they can melt. If they're too cold, they can solidify. If your butters harden at any point, leave it sitting in a warmer room. If they ever melt, put them in the fridge for about 10-15 minutes. This product is seasonal to hopefully avoid severe changes in the product as a result of the temperature.
Full Transparency:
From the very beginning, we have always used our vegan gloss base and organic oils in all of our products. The main thing that isn't natural in our products are the fragrances that we use as well as some of the synthetic colorings in our glosses. However, we make each product by hand to ensure that it is free of harmful chemicals such as parabens, sulfates, and mineral oils. We do this to make sure that we are fully aware of everything that's in your products before sending it out to you to maintain the integrity what our brand stands for.
