Welcome back readers! This month I want to help you lean into your confidence. With that being said, the topic for the month of March is "Trust Your Gut." I often used to wonder what was the key to having confidence. We've all encountered that one person that quite literally commands a room without saying a word. That's the girl that I've always aspired to be, but I never thought that I had the tools to acquire my own confidence. Recently, I realized that confidence isn't something that you just get. Even the people that seem to exude the most confidence are still insecure about something, but the difference lies within choosing to push past insecurity anyway.
The biggest test of my confidence in recent months has been within my ability to trust myself. I've realized that in order for me to further establish my confidence, I must push past my fears. I have to trust my gut, and so do you. TRUST YOUR GUT.
I spend so much time thinking about if I'm making the right choices, questioning if I'm doing good enough, and worrying about how I'm being perceived by others. To be frank, all of that is exhausting. So much energy goes into processing and overprocessing until I realize that I need to just trust myself. I have to remind myself that I need to spend more of my energy pouring into myself rather than tearing myself down. I say things like : "I am an amazing person", "I am doing a good job".
When I make the conscious effort to trust my gut, I'm unstoppable. By spending more time leaning into who I really am, I find that I am always my most authentic self. Each time that I allow myself the room to go with my gut, I develop a stronger sense of confidence.
This month, I am urging you to trust your gut. By choosing to silence the noise, you open room to figure out what you really desire. You also allow yourself the opportunity to make mistakes and use them to empower you.
To develop real confidence, it takes work. You must practice it repetitively by pushing past your fears and challenging yourself to do something different. Even if you just so happen to make a mistake, trust yourself enough to know that you can recover from it. So step into who you are this month by trusting yourself a little more each day.
